TECHNIQUES WE USE
Kinesio Taping
The Kinesio Taping method is a therapeutic technique that relieves pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This elevation affects the folds in the skin by increasing the interstitial space and allowing the inflammation in the affected areas to decrease. Based on research and years of clinical use, the Kinesio Taping method specifically applies Kinesio tape based on assessment and evaluation to dictate a specific application. Kinesio Tex Tape applications can be applied in hundreds of ways and have the potential to reduce pain and inflammation, promote post-operative healing, optimize performance, prevent injury and promote good circulation and can help the physical body healing process.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the practice of penetrating the skin with fine, solid, metal needles, which are then activated by gentle and specific movements of the practitioner's hands or by electrical stimulation. Acupuncture is part of the ancient practice of traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners believe that the human body has more than 2,000 acupuncture points connected to pathways or meridians. These pathways create a flow of energy (Qi, pronounced “chee”) through the body that is responsible for overall health. Disruption of energy flow can cause illness. By applying acupuncture to certain points, it is believed to improve the flow of Qi, thereby improving health. Studies have shown that acupuncture is effective for a variety of conditions.
Electroacupuncture
Electroacupuncture is a form of acupuncture where a small electric current is passed between pairs of acupuncture needles. According to some acupuncturists, this practice augments the use of regular acupuncture, can restore health and well-being, and is especially good for treating pain. There is evidence of some efficacy (when additional antiemetics are used) in the treatment of moderate emesis after chemotherapy, but not in acute emesis or delayed severity of nausea.
Sports massage
Sports massage is a deep form of soft tissue mobilization. A sports massage can be applied in a sporting and non-sporting context. Sports massage includes a wide range of techniques including stretching, kneading, squeezing, breaking and trigger point. A sports massage is used for general relaxation of the musculoskeletal system, as well as any problem areas. Sports massage relieves muscle tension, breaks up adhesions, mobilizes soft tissues and reduces pain.

It mainly involves flexion and manipulation of muscles, mobilization of joints and manipulation of joints. It is also used by Rolfers, massage therapists, athletic trainers, osteopaths and doctors. A 2011 literature review suggests that placebo is one of several potentially relevant mechanisms through which manual therapy improves clinical outcomes related to musculoskeletal conditions.

Therapeutic Exercise
In the simplest terms, therapeutic exercise involves movement prescribed to correct injuries, restore muscle and skeletal function, and/or maintain wellness. The scientific evidence demonstrating the beneficial effects of exercise is incontrovertible, and the benefits of exercise far outweigh the risks for most adults. For most adults, an exercise program that includes aerobic, resistance, flexibility, and neuromotor training is necessary to improve and maintain fitness and health.

Therapeutic massage
Therapeutic massage seeks to obtain therapeutic benefit. While therapeutic massage is often relaxing, the ultimate goal of the session or series of sessions is not relaxation. Therapeutic goals can vary significantly between massage therapists and clients. In some cases, massage is recommended by a healthcare professional and may be performed as part of a larger treatment plan. For example, someone attending physical therapy for an injury may have a regular therapeutic massage to relax muscles, improve muscle tone, and increase flexibility. Similarly, therapeutic massage can complement wound care, cancer care, and a variety of other treatments. People can use therapeutic massage as a standalone treatment. Some people, such as athletes, laborers or office workers, undergo regular therapeutic massage to keep themselves in good physical condition.
